DIY Deodorant (Natural, Nontoxic Formula That Actually Works)

This diy deodorant contains only four natural ingredients, is non-toxic and can be used on sensitive skin. Unlike many natural deodorants, it requires no detox period and has never let us down.

Cornstarch and baking soda are amazing at sucking up moisture and canceling out scent. Coconut oil acts as a base and binds all the ingredients together, while essential oils provide the scent of your choice. We like using Lavender Essential Oil for it’s calming floral scent. Tea Tree Essential Oil is useful for it’s scent trapping properties. But feel free to combine any essential oils you like.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup softened Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 3 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp Baking Soda
  • 12 drops Essential Oil optional

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.

To Use:

  1. Use a quarter sized amount on each armpit a day, or whenever needed.

Storage:

  1. Store in a cool, dry place with an airtight lid. Use within two months.

Precautions:

  1. Essential oils are very concentrated and should be used with care. We recommend learning about each essential oil before use in order to fully benefit from them.
