Is it doughnuts or donuts? Who cares!

These “Donuts” are so easy to make, taste amazing, and depending on your toppings, are a healthy way to curb your craving for those sweet, round, chocolate covered circles of love. (Yeeaah…. we love donuts).

Watermelon "Donuts"

This snack is best when made and served right away.
Prep Time 15 minutes


  • Watermelon
  • Melted Chocolate (we used Dark Chocolate) *Tip: To achieve a smooth consistency we recommend mixing in some coconut oil before melting
  • Honey optional
  • Toppings of your choice We love using shredded coconut, crushed almonds, sliced fruit, and of course sprinkles


  1. To create donut shapes, we sliced the watermelon vertically. Then cut circles into each slice with cookie cutters.
  2. Drizzle honey and chocolate on the watermelon. (This helps your toppings stick). Then sprinkle on toppings. 
  3. Place in the fridge or freezer for 10-15 minutes to set "donuts". Remove and enjoy immediately. This snack is best when made and served right away.
