Lemonade is a classic summer drink for us. There is something about the combination of hot weather and cool, refreshing lemonade that makes lounging in the sun so much more relaxing.
In case you haven’t noticed we are mildly obsessed with Lavender, so we thought why not throw it in a lemonade?
The floral notes balance nicely with the tartness of the lemons. This recipe is on the tangy side, if you prefer a sweeter taste feel free to adjust the amount of honey and water.
Serve immediately or keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. (We suggest drinking right away because the floral notes are more pronounced). Serve with ice and enjoy!
- 2 cups Boiling Water
- 1 tsp Dried Lavender Leaves
- 1 cup Lemon Juice
- 4 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Honey
- Lemon slices (for decoration)
- Steep dried lavender leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes (We suggest using a tea ball). It’s very important not to over-steep as lavender tea can become very bitter.
Strain the tea and let it cool (tip: put it in your fridge or freezer to cool faster).
- Meanwhile combine the lemon juice, water, and honey in a pitcher. Add cooled tea to lemonade and mix.
