DIY Dry Shampoo (All Natural Ingredients)

Did you know that washing your hair every day can actually be bad for it? Daily shampooing can strip the natural oils from the scalp, leaving it dry and itchy. Slightly “Dirty” hair also grabs on to styling products better, and helps to give the hair body. (This is why your hair stylist tells you to wash your hair the night before a big event to keep the style in place all day).

This DIY dry shampoo is very inexpensive, all natural, and super easy to make. This recipe works really well at sopping up oil and blends perfectly with most natural hair colours. If it is too light or dark simply adjust the amount of cinnamon or cocoa power until you find the perfect match.

Apply to roots with fingers, or shake on between washes and before styling. Apply just enough to absorb excess oil, otherwise it may alter the colour of your roots.

Recipe Notes

We suggest using Lavender, Peppermint, or Rosemary essential oils as they promote hair strength and growth.
